As a church, our mission is to regroup together so that we might be readied for the Great Commission work of reaching out and remaining with. God calls each of his followers to reach out to those who have not confessed Christ calling them to follow the Lord in light of the Gospel’s truth. God also calls each of his followers to remain with those who have confessed Christ calling them to continue following Christ in light of the Gospel’s truth. Pastors and church leaders are particularly called to equip church members for the work or reaching out and remaining with.

Bob Kelleman is the Executive Director for the Biblical Counseling Coalition. “The BCC exists to multiply the ministry of the biblical counseling movement by strengthening churches, para-church organizations, and educational institutions through promoting unity and excellent in biblical counseling.” The particular link that I am providing here, which is on the role of equipping church members for ministry, is just one of many great resources that can be found through the ministry of the Biblical Counseling Coalition.

I want to encourage you to read his excellent blog post:
