We believe our pastors are called specifically for equipping the flock of God under the one true Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Our Lord, being the Head of the Church, has given as gifts Shepherd-Teachers to carry out the ministry of the Word in order to mature and mobilize Jesus’ disciples. The body of Christ, then, being equipped and built up, are called to go into their families, their workplaces, their neighborhoods, and their community intentionally engaging each context with the gospel of Christ. (Eph. 4:4-16; 2 Tim. 3:16-4:5; 1 Pet. 5:1-4)
Joe Braden, Lead Pastor
My name is Joe Braden. I desire to shepherd the people of First Baptist Church of St. Peters in the gospel of Jesus Christ that promotes our members to reach out to other and remain with each other. I am married to Diane; we consider it a joy to have three sons (Andrew, Thomas and Grant), a daughter-in-law (Casey), and three grandchildren (Callista, Jett, and one on the way). I enjoy reading, racquetball, bicycling and roasting coffee beans.
Tim Harrelson, Associate Pastor
My name is Tim Harrelson and I am the Associate Pastor at FBC St Peters. I recently married my darling bride, Stephanie, on September 7th, 2013 and we are now expecting our first child, which we are very excited about. I received my Masters of Divinity at Covenant Theological Seminary in 2013. My passions are to equip our people to make disciples in the roles in which God has sovereignly placed them, to engage and reform our suburban culture with the gospel, and to continue to grow in my discipleship of the Lord Jesus. I enjoy reading, being with my family and friends, and roasting and brewing a good cup of coffee.
